Great coin ... hmmm, I don't think I have any coins with Fides on 'em? Oh, but I do have these two Caracalla sweethearts ... Young Caracalla, AR Denarius Older Caracalla, AR Antoninianus
I wholeheartily agree with that statement (Steve) seems to have an arsenal of great ancient coins/ Caracalla was a nasty Emperor, he learned well from his Dad (Septimus Severus) called the Josef Stalin of Imperial Rome....for how he eliminated all his political foes/ Stalin of course was historys most evil human being (60+ million victims).
Exceptional denarius @panzerman !!! Yep, Steve and TIF always seem to have the most eye-appealing examples in ALL grades!! One of my most recent 'provincial' bronzes of Caracalla from Moesia Inferior:
Oh, since we broke out the provincials... I know this one just got posted in the Big Bronze thread but I think it will be ok. Caracalla, AD 198-217 AE31, 16g, 12h; Serdica. I think Caracalla's year TRP XVIII is the first year of issue for the antoninianus, a new denomination. The OP shows a denarius from that year. stevex6'a post shows the new ant from the same year. Both are excellent coins.
