My favorite coin that I own is without a doubt my 16-d Merc. My 1906 $5 dollar Liberty gold is a close second.

Complete sets of the Dimes & half dollars, missing only the 01s in the quarters.

My favorite coin that I own is a 1906 Netherlands half-cent.

I have a 1910 P Lincoln cent that I suspect is around MS 66 RB, but even though it's not worth THAT much, it is my favorite U.S. coin I own.

I have an overdipped 1921 Peace Dollar. The detail is debatable whether it is 64 or 65, but the coin is missing luster necessary for entombment from PCGS. The Peace Dollar series is my favorite, and this is my favorite Peace Dollar in my collection. The 1921 has the high relief and is IMHO the way that De Francisci intended the coin.

A simple, worn 1887-O Silver Dollar. I found it in our old house down in Texas. My dad said his father had built the house in 1927 and put silver dollars over all the door frames to ensure good luck. My little brother and I got up into the attic where it wasn't framed in and each found a silver dollar. My old man didn't mind as long as we left at least one. It's still there....

BTW, my brother, who is a coin dealer, says his favorite coin is tied for the pair of silver dollars he got from a man who sold some of his late father's belongings. One was a Morgan, the other one a Peace and they were obviously pocket pieces. They are both worn almost into oblivion! Absolutely dateless, and nearly indiscernable as type coins. He says he feels that they must have meant a lot to the man, as he obviously always had them in his pocket and seemingly rubbed them together as a nervous habit.

I think it ironic for someone with a rather large collection, that he likes these two best, but once again, it's the story and not necessarily the value that makes us love our coins.

All of them!!! But my battered old 1891o morgan has to be special. It was my Dads and it is the coin that started my journey in this wonderful hobby ;)

My 1900-O PCGS MS-65 Morgan that my father gave me for my 21st birthday. It was the coin that really got me back into collecting on a serious basis. Plus, it's one that I will never get rid of.

My favorite would have to be my 1943 liberty standing half dollar. My grandfather gave it to me a long time ago.
