It may just take time for the prices to come back, take a look at the 2005-W Proof SE - at times I saw them for 6000$ + and now after quite a few years you can pick one up for around 3500$ if you desire. So who knows the future of these bullion coins?

and the pcgs coin fact tells you why that coin is an exception because people melted it by the buckets

thank god they sold out. 300 pieces would have burnt a hole if there was no sell out. Three cheers for the mint. they think of poor investors as well

Yeah, and we were told this "ridiculously HIGH mintage will languish on the mint's website for WEEKS before selling out" too. Reality was 30 minutes.
I learned my lesson. If I'm available I'll never wait again to place an order. Five coming my way, just barely.
I'll be clicking the button at noon on the dot for the quarter and hoping the website doesn't crash.

Hard to believe they are already on Ebay - 300$ range

Got my 10 at about 12:10 and they're already sold to someone else. Pretty painful as the website was not behaving well. I'm glad I made sure I knew my password earlier this morning.

These may do well in the future, they may not, but nobody ever lost money taking a profit.

well historically the prices go down but historically the most profit is also made on day 1 flipping. i wonder how many quarters will be made anything less than 100k and another sellout looms

So your friend had 30 different credit cards with 30 different ship to address along with 30 different US Mint accounts? Or just 30 real good friends who don't want to make any profit...?

I like you Spock but IMO you are talking out your butt on this one & your opinion on how these will perform in the long run.

dont you read? there is an ad on CT here asking for coins at$25 over. My friend arranged for 300 pieces. How he did it is his problem. And as far as how these will perform in the long run all anyone has is a guess. Time will tell

Hi ,good idea. i just bought a sp70. I thought it would be a great investment. I thought it would be an instant sellout. I only wish they would have done a proof! regards, Old49er...

I bought one for my person collection. Had a few glitches with the web site but already received my confirmation email earlier today.

I agree, this is a low mintage...and a very popular dime in silver. I would buy sp70, or ms70. [ nabbed the sp70. I think these will be worth a lot more than the purchase price in a short while.
