1911 P Reverse Strike Through Barber Dime

    I got this off the bay, took a chance sent it in and surprisingly was attributed by NGC. I think it should have graded higher than an MS 60 though. I have NO idea what this would be worth, as I am not an error collector, but was rather proud I found one that graded legit. What do you think?

    OK.. can you explain what area is Struck Through.. is it the area under the word DIME?

    But it does look better than a 60

    The strikethrough probably caused them to net it down a grade or two.

    I'll get better pictures at some point. It looks like tiny fibers or something.

    Matted fibers was my guess, too. Sharper pictures would be nice.

    Yeah, that tells the tale all right. :)

    Makes me all the more certain that NGC has adopted some form of grading penalty for "obstructions" like that.

    I got a 1910 P Barber Dime graded MS 64 that I sent in at the same time with less luster than on this 1911 P. However it IS a great strike.
