2 Very Old Coins... I Think.

    I found these 2 coins at an estate sale and know nothing about them. I looked online and the first appears to be a ything else about themCaesar-Antony coin but that doesnt mean a whole lot to me... I also dont know if theyre real, what they're worth or anything else about them. The second coin appears to have the face of a person take up the whole coin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     You would probably have much better luck posting these on the Ancients forum here. Some really knowledgable folks in that thread.

    Normally it's extremely difficult or near impossible to determine if any coin is genuine or not from photos, even excellent ones with all the devices clearly shown and even then it's essentially an opinion based on obvious clues.....your photos do not 'convince' me either is genuine.

    It does appear the first coin is meant to depict Mark Antony and Julius Caesar. I'm at a loss to speculate who or what is on the second.

    Perhaps the others will be more daring than I have just been.

    Thanks yea thats what i was afraid of, the whole authentication via photo. Oh well ill have to take it to a shop tomorrow.
