I just wanted to write a brief thread as a shout-out for one of the good guys, Shane Canup, of Kryptonite comics and collectibles. I have recently sold all of my toned Morgans, and a few other toned coins (82 in total). Shane did a great job with the auctions and I would recommend him to anybody who is consigning coins. Since we always seem to have threads criticizing sellers, I want to post one that was a positive one. This is not a commercial, as people are free to do what they choose in buying/selling coins. However, Shane is extremely professional. The overall yield on the coins was much as expected--high, as he has a huge following. Now, my son and daughter-in-law are getting a really nice wedding present.
I commend you for sacrificing your Morgan toners. There were some very nice coins offered and I looked at a few of those listings a while back. The coins went for a nice premium, and I'm sure you profited nicely on most of them. There was a head scratcher in the bunch though. Your old Avatar coin, why did that one sell for a modest premium? Obviously you thought highly of it, were you a little surprised by the hammer price on that one? Or do I just like it more than the potential buyers did??????? I honestly wish I would've threw out a bid on that one
Definitely one of the better sellers out there! I've bought a few coins from him and have always been pleased. By the way, @heavycam.monstervam would you be able to show a picture of the coin you are referencing?
