So what in the heck is an AU60? http://cgi.ebay.com/1957-D-Ben-Fran...ryZ11973QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Perhaps the 10,000 point scale. AU-60 DC, FBL A deep cameo for a Denver mint?!?!? And FBL== there are none showing!!!
I google Highland and nothing for a coin grading service "Item must be returned within 3 days"...lmao OMG..here is another one from same game..its too funny..read the blurb at bottom..lmao http://cgi.ebay.com/Nuclear-Fallout...goryZ208QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem he has an AU66 too http://cgi.ebay.com/1951-Ben-Frankl...ryZ11973QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It looks like a nicely cared for circulated coin, possibly cleaned or polished, maybe an extra fine 45, worth about $5-$6. Mint State it is NOT. Mark Coral Springs, FL
Now an XF66? Twiggs, It's getting worse. http://cgi.ebay.com/1957-D-Ben-Fran...ryZ11973QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem He's gotta be drinking ACTUAL nuclear fallout water. ROFLMAO!!!
New and improved Sheldon scale So far I've seen an MS64, AU60 and XF66 (not including particulars like DCAM on D mints). Let's extrapolate. Assuming that, after drinking a few cases of Nuclear Fallout, (bottled in Chernobyl please drink responsibley), this guy has some clue to the Sheldom system we have A LOT of grades to choose from. If we go with the standard G(4), VG(8), F(12), VF(20), XF(40), AU(50) and MS(60) as a starting point then assign EACH of those grades a "micro Sheldon" scale we come up with 490 grades! It's sheer GENIUS and the slabber must have one hell of an eye for detail. From now on I only buy Highland slabs!
Actually, the mystery of FBL is taken care of - in one of the auctions, he says "FINE Bell Lines". I didn't note which one, but that is what he said. I would say "FIND the Bell Lines" Check out his past auctions. They're kind of fun to go through - how many years he's had the coin, how many fingers he's holding up, etc. I dunno, I'm not an expert, but the grading isn't miles and miles off. Had a good chuckle on this guy.
"1957-D Ben Franklin Half Dollar. 90% Silver Certified XF-66 Deep Cameo With Fine Bell Lines" Well, at least give him credit for having an imagination.
