    These 1/10th ounce proof gold eagles are great to collect, it is very hard to take a good picture close up of these coins. Sometimes close up shots can look kind of grainy (not very clear) so some people may make comments on this effect. I usually shoot them at the 8 to 12 inch distance, your 3rd picture looks much better :) nice coin.

    He means the 1/10th ounce gold coins are almost as big as a fish scale.
