I realize this site is mainly US Coins. However I am having a problem identifying a token, I think. I have searched the web with everything I can think of to type in on Goggle, No results. I have contacted Coin News and other sites, again no results. All I want is to know what they are, why they were minted and how many. Its driving me crazy. Maybe I am dumb, whatever, but I needs to know.
They are a set of 12. On one side showing the outline of the province and year into confederation and on the other the flower of that province. They were made in Italy, possilbly 1967. You can view the coin @ http://wayne1949.myphotoalbum.com, under coins. I am offering a 1965 Canadian Silver Dollar to the first one who can identify this coin and tell me where to get the info I desire. The 1965 dollar is also shown as a reward. I promise to send this at no cost to anyone.

    Cheers

    Hmmmmm......

    Tough one.

I thought I found one, but it's not quite the same. It has a flower with 6 petals, yours only has 5. Then again, it's also a Winnipeg medal.

There was a set of 13 (One for each prov/terr. + a Canada one) given out 1 at a time by Shell Oil gas stations to 'celebrate' Canada's 100th birthday (1967). Each one had the province and year it joined, and the provincial flower on the other side.
These aren't the exact same, similar, but different. Whats the diameter of them? They all have 'ITALY' stamped on them?

The diameter is just over the size of a Canadian 50 cent. The weight of each is also just over a Canadian 50 cent and under a Canadian silver dollar, about 12 grams. Metal I am not sure of. Yes they are for sure made in Italy and I am sure made in 1967.
