About two months ago I found a cap and ray peso and thought it was the coolest thing so I started collecting pesos. I love varieties and know they exist but can't seem to find picture reference on them. If anyone know of reference with images.

I am a novice to the series but looking to know more

I have a few silver pesos too. 1961, 62,63. I'm going to Cancun Riveria Maya one month from today and hope to score some numismatic material while down there.

Look for government sponsored kiosk in the area. They sell some cool sets. I wished I had purchased some my last trip down to Mexico years ago.

Nice lot! Where do you buy yours? If you don't mind me asking... I've been looking on ebay but they seem to be somewhat more expensive than I thought they'd be. Perhaps it's just me...

no one place but flea market, local coin shop, ebay got a full album 24 coins for $60 two of each date plus 2 extra coins. mystery date purchases off silver/gold places like apmex, etc, my local coin club. I searched for online stores near border too.

I tried to pay no more then $10,7,5 on the pesos depending on silver content and the 8reales are different story

I got some out of foreign coin box 25 cents each mostly 1947 10 percent silver it looks close to the non silver ones. Might be location I am in central Florida mostly retirees. I even see tons of Cuban coin. People bring in the coins they get from family that pasted.

the earlier coins scare me as I know there are fakes and I not educated enough on them to venture there yet. hoping to get book soon

Thanks. Unfortunately up here in MD I don't have the opportunity. I've been able to snag a few off ebay for decent prices though.
