After little more research. The Denver mint is known for excessive use of its dies which according to my research produced a lot of these coins that look like this one, surprisingly the Philadelphia must of been under pressure to use their dies a little longer. Resulting in what you see is to overuse dies not just one resulting in the crown impression on the reverse these two dies evidently or at the end of their life. The photo I am showing now you can definitely see the difference in the two this one is out of US coins.:blackalien: 031413fdcent1986.jpg

i have probably 5 examples in my penny collection of "newer" pennies (off the top of my head i would say they are all newer than 1980) that exhibit what looks almost like a wood grain pattern throughout the penny or look like it has an orange peal pattern (not as severe as an actual orange but more like a cheap ass paint job on a car orange peel) throughout. Pretty cool penny bro! Stick that lincoln in a cardboard holder and put that in a book. Great keeper!

Like I stated the coin you're looking at is from US coins this one I don't actually have I was using it as an example to the one that I posted. I agree when I get these I usually put them in a 2 x 2 clear flap and put them in my book, I know some members would say why bother but I have plenty of room in my book. Keep on collecting and having fun. :blackalien:
