I attended my local coin show today the northern Utah coin show check it out if your in northern Utah this weekend. I spent way too much and was walking out when I found this sweet so called dollar. And oh yeah 100% virgin Utah copper. Utah represents.
I could think up a few punchlines, and each one would of resulted in me being banned.......again......
Very nice! You should take some pics outside the flip. I see some crud that I hope is on the holder. If not, maybe it needs a bath in some distilled water? Still a very cool piece.
It needs a bath. I didn't pay too much for this piece. He had a very nice ngc ms 65 red one for about 11 times the price of this one. So called dollars are not my cup of tea but as a Utah native I could not refuse. If you ever have some time and are in the area you should do a tour of the Bingham canyon copper mine where the copper came from. Largest open pit copper mine in the world they claim.
I think it's neat. A quick search of the Googlelord found this (below), but perhaps you could shed even more light upon this for those of us unfamiliar? http://www.so-calleddollars.com/Events/Alaska_Yukon_Pacific.html
I am going to that coin show today.. Its like going to Vegas, only take as much money with you as you can afford to lose.. (spend)
