What is the what looks like extra metal flow in the Lincoln memorial on your right side next to Lincoln? Just wondering.
agreed.. its the outline of Lincoln's chin, upside down of course...and the line in third bay from left is a clash event as well as the upside down "Y" at the top of second bay...
Ok, I just couldn't tell. One more question. Is this a die chip in this 1957 wheat penny? ok, I see it now. I just couldn't put it together. I have one more question about a 1957 wheat penny. Is this a die chip? PMD? I can't tell.
Die chips are very common on 50s Lincolns. On an unrelated note, I have two 51-S wheats that I think were struck from the same die pair, and found in the same 500 coin bag. It was $20, I couldn't resist. (Besides, 2.5 cents per wheat is a pretty good deal unless they are all corroded 58-Ds.)
I have a question about the 1984 D penny, it has blue appearing out of the coin. Now I just got this coin so it could be some kind of liquid or something that spilled on it and made it look like this, but I was just curious. Here are some pictures...
