That's a drag, S-Yoda ... I'm sorry to hear that you lost your camera-woman (that is always a hard pill to swallow)

    :(

On the bright-side, there are plenty more photographers in the sea, my coin-friend!!

Yes you did. I was watching and bidding when I saw your alias on some of the lots. Greek Silver correct?

540 and 541.......yes, they look so Greek I forgot they were in the RR section. I was bidding on 543 but lost interest at the winning price. I very much like 541. I did not hang around for the rest of the auction.

The coin I really wanted..........well that one got away from me when the auction house feed locked up for about 3 minutes. Guess I was not meant to have it. http://romanumismatics.com/auction/lot/0251/

LOCKED UP!!! I have had that happen before on a targeted coin I was trying to bid! It SOLD for WAY under what it was worth, and that what I was willing to pay! I was VERY frustrated... happened about a year ago! And, I was willing to go big bucks for it as it was one of my life targets!

Lot 541: I honestly thought I made out pretty well, considering its condition... I searched / compared it on other databases, and in its condition, it could have gone a lot higher... I crossed my fingers on that one!

I really don't shop much Greek, but looking at 503... great detail on it! I see why you liked it

Yeah, the Pre-denarius Roman Republican silver was more Greek in look and theme as it was designed to trade with the Southern Italy Magna Graecia as well as Campana.

You have created a visual speed bump in this thread. I will leave it at that.

@stevex6 guess what ? I got my photographer back. lol as it turned out she(my ex-girlfriend Jenny) got a new iphone5 and did not tell me about it or her new phone number. so she tried calling me for 2 weeks and I would look at the number and say nope don't know that number...click. finally I was getting pissed off and called that number back that had been calling me at 10:30am it was her. lol we are NOT back together. she just comes and see's the cats and she said she would take any coin pictures I want from her to take for life. thank God right. I am still gonna try and get my own camera this christmas and nice macro lens. go and see the new improved pics. in world forum and Canada and toned... much better in focus pics.

    Atta-boy ...

=> I'm glad to hear that it was merely a phone mix-up (that was a close one)

Although, the new camera-girl certainly had a pretty nice upside, eh?
