SuperDave, that is one ugly Washington portrayal. If his eyes were placed any higher he would have had to have a buzz cut so he could see. The question for me is, why? It's not even a 90% silver year?

Look closer....it's 1865. It's a pretty famous, and fairly common, fake. Washington's chin doubles as a hand planer with this one.

 

LOL, entirely missed that, I was so taken by the hair-do and facial details. Good lord, there should be a special place in hell for counterfeiters who are either really dumb or lacking in talent, or both. What is the reverse on that fake?

Just Googled it. Supposedly there is a "faint 'Facsimile'" on the reverse, but I couldn't see it on the example I found.

It's directly under both eagles wings broken up by the legs. You can barely see it...

Also, mine is a 20° cw rotated reverse lol
