Well some times it works! It took me another 30 years to get married to a great woman! I love every bit of being an old fart with a great woman that actually can put up with me!
When did you buy these? I'm surprised the 55 DDO has been a loser (although checking the NGC price guide, it looks like it's been moving down since mid 2011).
Bought the 55 on 4/20/2013. (Musta been stoned) Bought the 72 Type 2 2/6/2008 Bought the 71 from APMEX on 6/13/2009
You could always try paying it forward on the upcoming anniversary.... and perhaps catch someone celebrating the, ahem, "green moon".
My biggest mistake was gobbling up everything in sight. If I had $20, I would buy four $5 coins instead of one $20 coin. I'm still getting rid of lots of junk and replacing it with quality coins.
That's a his/her shiftier, at least that's what use folks in Michigan called them and those were bad ass, Chris .
I let the size of my collection get out of hand. It's easy to do. You fall in love with the hobby and just keep buying. I'm sure many here have done the same. It's hard to get out of that hole. Learning to sell is important.
not getting the more common coins when they were plentiful now the commons are going for outrageous prices when they are high mintages and a lot of junk now and should of got more gold just could not afford it then and still can not now
Just missed a 1990-d ms67 Kennedy last week. It sold for $82.50 while I was watching Revenge on Netflix!
(1) In my young teens not knowing that you could take a dollar bill to the bank and request a silver dollar. Instead I collected US stamps. (Ouch!) (2) Ignoring the GSA's offer to bid on Carson City Dollars in the 1970's.
My biggest mistake was signing up for the first spouse gold subscription business strike and proof no less. I'm just going down with the ship now with the price of gold tanking. I'll be lucky to get anything over melt when it's all done. Not to mention that most of the coins are just ugly.
