When did this happen?

When did the value of the 2006 ASE Anniversary set go up so high? I had no idea they'd be selling for $500!!! I bought one last year from the mint for $100 and I'm glad that I've kept it. I wish I had bought 10 (or for that matter, 100)!!!

How about the UNOPENED sets? I bought 10 sets, opened every one of them, and have no regrets.

Holy Cow! I bought this set with expectations of reasonable growth, but nothing like this.

 

How much did they go for from the mint?

 

They went for $100.

I remember when they were selling for $200 and thinking that it was good growth. I almost wonder if I should consider selling now to get max $ for it. I really bought it for my collection but I'm not sure if I can pass up that kind of profit.

Thanks! However, I didn't originally buy all of them for myself. I bought 3 for myself and 7 for friends who had expressed interest. Of course, they all backed out, so I was "stuck" with them. I suppose I bought them for an investment because I'm not a ASE/bullion collecter per se. The reverse proof is gorgeous, though, in my opinion.
