    1776 1976 bicentennial quarters

The main photo shows a single quarter, which might lead casual browsers to skip over the listing, which in fact offers thirteen quarters. Don't do this. Make sure your main photo shows all thirteen quarters if that's how many you're trying to sell.

    For $500.

It's funny, there are those out there who INSIST that these are/or will be worth something one day. Doesn't matter if you tell them they minted tons of them or not. That Drummer Boy, sure hit a chord. As you can see, clearly knocked the noggin of this seller. ( worth more than FV that is. )

But hey, the shipping is fairly reasonable!

I've been helping a family friend sell a coin collection recently, and they had so many of these. Rolls, loose coins, just loads of them. Also a ton of non-silver Kennedy halves and Sacajawea dollars. People just couldn't get enough of them I guess. I've just been depositing them.

Price would have almost made sense if the listing was for 1976 bicentennial quarters, 1776 of them.

Was anything minted at Bicentennial time not mass produced?

I'm not huge on quarters & only dabble a little on modern coins. Modern meaning to me being 1965 & newer. I have quite a few bicentennial's because my mother in law loves them for some reason. I looked at the eBay post, are they really worth that much?

I'm one of those that keeps them :banghead::shame:. However I have no delusions that they will someday be valuable (with the exception of maybe high grade low pop). I just like the design.

The silver business strike version doesn't have that high of a mintage. I also collect these and have been for some time. I buy and sell them slabbed. They are virtually indistinguishable from the clad ones so I think their survival numbers in uncirculated condition has potential. And of course they contain silver! Who doesn't like silver?!

I agree with the silver. I really didn't think they could be worth what the seller is asking. Have a few pcgs slabbed ms69 & few proofs. The rest are circulated ones she saved. Picked up a pcgs proof clad slabbed to put in her casket, when the time comes. But that's all the modern quarters in my collection. I'm drawn to the walking liberty.
