I was just looking through realized prices of gold and noticed that Centsles had purchased some pieces. Knowing that the individuals sell many NNC slabs, I decided to see what the individual was selling. Then, diagnostics started matching. This is a good lesson about some of the slabbers out there. We can physically see the differences in grades being put on coins without having to buy them and try to cross them as experiements. Someone is going to get burned on that $10 Indian. Great detective work everyone on finding some other examples!! :thumb:
I just took shortgapbob,s find and ran with it. I was surprised how much gols this seller has purchased lately. If you go to his ebay store and use the store search feature it's easy to line up purchases with the obviously self slabbed coins for sale. He is obvious ly hoping the coins will sell at a grade point or two above what he paid, even if they don't sell for the complete new bogus grade. Some of these gold coins have a pretty good price difference between grades. Just another reason to stay with the top 4 TPG,s or just stay away from slabbs.
This guy is a great lesson in profitability. I wonder how many others are doing the exact same thing and laughing all the way to the bank.
