Hello all! I hope this isn't a dumb question. I have a 1994-D Dime and the entire color is brown. What causes this? Thank you!
+1 for environmental damage. Clad coins tend to take on this brown color when they oxidize. It's hard to find nice looking clad toners.
Thank you Everyone! I've been collecting for years and just recently found this web site. It is soooo nice to be able to ask questions and get an answer because you don't know. I went in to a local coin shop and asked about one of the coins I had and he basically said if you don't what is wrong with that coin you shouldn't be collecting them. Needless to say I never went back. I really appreciate your answers and not making me feel silly for asking. Very much appreciated!!!
