It's pretty well advanced; I don't think a "normal" coin is possible any longer for it. It won't hurt to try to leverage Verdicare into giving it a little more stability.
You might not like what gets left behind if VerdiCare takes off all the verdigris, but at least it won't deteriorate further. With that much green stuff, I'd expect some significant surface pitting. I'd also be a little concerned how VerdiCare would handle the Cu 75% / Ni 25% alloy. @BadThad?
Coins like this make me wonder if the harmful verdigris could be turned into a wonderful protective patina.
Facetious comment! Looks like heavy verdigris in spots. It will see some improvement with VC but total removal is questionable.
