Wow! Gorgeous coins all. I don't have anything close to an ancient FDC coin or even one that approximates what it must have looked like freshly struck.

I do have a Galerius with a decent amount of detail, a flan that is in relatively nice shape and an appealing patina though. Here's my humble contribution to this thread.

    Galerius; AD 297-298 26 Feb 13 24.00 VF 30.00
Bronze; AE Follis, Heraclea mint; 29mm/9.2g
OBV: GAL VAL MAXIMIANUSNOB CEAS; Laureate Head R
REV: GENIO POPULI ROMANI; Genus standing Left holding patera and cornucopia
    (RIC VI 20 b, G)

Here is the OP coin with a light clean. The light reflection is due to the heavy silvering and the patina is untouched and has not been changed by the cleaning.
posted again as above reply went wrong...soz!

wow, that's lovely YOC..nice cleaning as well...just sweet.

since i mainly have low end coins, i don't have much that is looks pretty much as it about as struck.

except this, probably didn't look much different the day it was stuck.
