New Gold Piece For My Collection

Sweet one nut. I'm a cali native and don't have one yet. They're just too dang small for me but I do want one eventually

 

It is small, so small you feel like you've been cheated.

Very cool California fractional . I always wanted one from the 1850s , but there all nice .

 

I have never figured out how people kept up with a coin that small. I can misplace a Morgan dollar right under my nose.

 

Who issued it ?

No pockets back then for the most part until Levi jeans really. Men used small pouches and ladies used coin purses. Though I'm sure they still got lost or dropped through the floorboards occasionally
