I know a few members out there saying what is This nut coming up with now. Well yesterday at breakfast I asked a friend of mine if he wanted to go fishing and of course he said yeah I told him I would pick him up in a couple of hours, went over to pick him up he came out with his fishing pole and tackle box I told him to put that back in the house we are going error coin fishing. When he got in the truck he said what the h--- is error coin fishing. We went down the road and stop at the first fishing hole, one of the neighborhood pawnshop, I gave him an extra 10 powered Leopold I magnifier. It took him a couple of fishing holes to get the hang of it, needless to say the fishing was not that good. Most of the dealers wanted a premium for their big ones but I managed to land this one at a reasonable price the dealers cost of a buck and a half. My friend now knows what error fishing is and he likes it please enjoy the photos and good luck on your fishing adventures PS For the critics on this site there are quite a few life is too short not to have some fun with it
Unfortunately it's the coin itself didn't want to pay as much as I did because of the condition, but I thought I spend more on a cup of coffee didn't want to go home without catching something \V/
What I find interesting is that it appears to be (very) slightly misaligned as well as off-center. Chris
Nice find. But what I find more interesting is your friend. If I did that to any friend of mine, they would think I was nuts! He must be a great friend!
Yes you're right he is a good friend, but people who know me know that sometimes I can be unconventional and unpredictable just downright off-the-wall, but if I asked my friend just to go to the pawnshop to look through the coins, and he's not really that into coins yet would probably of said no, but when you hit the weak spot with fishing it changes the whole perspective of error coin hunting in pawnshops. Try having a fishing pool party. Life's too short not to have fun
In pawnshops you don't see that many junk coin boxes at least not around here. For that I usually go to the local small coin shops they always have the silver boxes and junk coins \V/
