Got a picture of the new gold Mercury Dime they had on display at the Mint booth in Baltimore. Not the best picture but the best I could do with a cell phone and the lighting they had. Also, since we stayed right outside of DC, hit the American History museum and they had a nice big display of world currency and coins. In both the small display that has been there for awhile now and this big one they had the 1933 gold double eagle displayed. But what caught my eye, along with all the other cool gold coins, was this necklace and broach. Holy smokes, lots of gold coins in this one. Can only imagine what it would be worth.
That necklace and brooch make me sad. Why ruin 20+ nice gold coins that way? That said, I like the Mercury dime. I'd like to see the reverse.
I think I'd be more worried about the spine of the woman who decides to carry that thing around her neck!
