Much thanks to @John Anthony for verifying that this was too good of a deal to pass up.

    Note the provenance.

The coin has charming character in hand - the color is closer to the third pic than the first two, a nice gray-silver. It has solid, if rugged detail, no test cuts, and most of the devices are present on an unusually thick flan. The Tom Cederlind provenance is also quite special as he recently passed away, God rest his soul.

I always have a great time going to Baltimore, but the last two times have been extra great since I've had a chance to carpool with Doug - nothing like having a crony to talk coins with and compare purchases. I'm going to be very disappointed if I ever have to attend the show without you comrade!

Thanks. I was pretty sure it was a good deal, but when JA told me he was gonna buy it if I didn't, that sealed it ;-)

Yeah, you just can't let that JA guy buy all the coins. He's getting to be much like that guy TIF keeps talkin' about (Cleo I think is the handle).:p

It's a good thing he was out of money, or I think he might have bought it while I wasn't looking! ;-)

    (just kidding, JA!)
