Hello, I'd like to share this Morgan I picked up for melt. If anyone has any input or knowledge to share on the grading of this Morgan or Lowball Morgan's in general please share.
If you have an opinion on what date this is, please comment, I don't have my glass on me, as I am at the Flea market where I purchased the coin.
    Thanks for your responses IMAG1254.jpg IMAG1257.jpg IMAG1255.jpg IMAG1258.jpg

Looks like 188? To me when I enlarge the image but distortion sets in on that last digit. Maybe 1888 or 1889

Without oblique light, and maybe even with oblique light, it looks to me like that last digit is just too far gone. It's an underweight round at this point.

I like it but to be graded as a p01 lowball it's date and mint must be conclusive. Still awesome though. Carry it around for coin flips!

Look at the arrow fletches on the reverse, and think again about what this coin is.

You think its a 21 dave!? I saw that chin and was about to say it but the fetching looked slanted to me. I guess they can just be distorted a touch though. I was gonna tag you too lol

Cool coin. I can't quite make the date out from pics but I bet you can in hand.

YOU GUYZ got some vision I can't make out anything but maybe a really faint 8 and I will ask the question cause I know there are some people like me that don't know what SUPER DAVE MEANS by "think about what this coin is"

Think about my answer to superdave ;)

I'm kicking myself for not going with my gut. That chin should've been enough but nope. I had to zoom in too much on those darn arrow fetchings and at that mag they looked slanted. They arent! So, we have a paf with an extended chin. Only one year it could be. But that chin is a klintcher anyway. #KickingMyself

Its becoming a little clearer now CAS. what you said.. but Bill says in hand he could make date out.. So here is my dilemma I have been reading Morgan guide book by Bowers I cant make out about the straight and parallel Arrows Feathers and even shows the two. I CANT SEE THE DIFFERENCE I know I AM BORING SOME OF THE EXPERTS but for the life of me I CANT SEE THE DIFERENCE.. I read where super dave says do your own research and learn so I tried and still didn't learn . hopeless cause maybe I don't know and while we are on it what's (rev of 79) I am done now

I'm in Baltimore - on my phone - and can't see enough date detail. But if it's 188x, it's counterfeit. That's either a 1921 or B1 (unlikely) set of arrow fletches.

The top feather looks slanted to me! Note the point of the feather on the far left. If it was parallel, the point would be closer to the next feather below it by about one-fourth to one-third.
