I got this in a box of gun cleaning supplies. I was wondering if any one could identify the rev of the right Schilling? Thanks for the help. a Also a 25 Kurus
Sadly the date has been ground off with the the Ram coin and the obverse is too worn to see who the ruler is. So there really isn't any way to tell the year. But my guess is it's from the 1940's. These coin bracelets were popular during the war.
that Australia rams head shilling has a date run from 1938-1963. the dated coins from 1938-1944 metal - .925 silver the dated coins from 1945-1952 metal - .908 silver the dated coins from 1953-1963 metal - .500 silver the 1st coin is a 1916 shilling- metal- .925 silver
The ram reverse was 50 % silver minted from 53 to 63 I believe. I didnt know that it was a war related. The Man of the estate was a tall standing officer during the Korean war. Thanks
