This followed me home from the coin shop today. Saw it last week View attachment 489245 View attachment 489245 but pulled the trigger today. The die crack on the reverse caught my attention. Sorry for the cell phone photos.

 

A heavily worn but honest and hopefully problem free 1801 Capped Bust cent. Sellers pics - and one of my favorite sellers. Got this one for a song. Believe it or not, the first large cent in my collection!

I was just looking at them for my type set. Like you, I just picked up my 1st and 2nd large cent in my collection! Received them today. Now the question, should I crack em out and put em in the dansco? They werent expensive coins and I did buy them with the intent of cracking them, just get different feelings when you get them in hand!

 

Went to an auction today. Unfortunately most of the earlier coins had been cleaned still bought one lot

 

This one hadn't been messed with. I love this thing. A trade dollar that was a pocket piece.

 

This was a nice coin before some moron scrubbed the obverse. The reverse is beautiful oh well I'll just sell it cheap

Walkers are starting to grow on me so i think im gonna build a set of em. This one was tough to take a decent picture of.

 

After getting a Uruguay 4 centesimos, I wanted the 40 centesimos next. Really like the heft to it.

 

You know Mat Uruguay has some really unusual and cool coinage . I have gold coin I really fancy from there from the art deco era. Nice coin!

Lots of South America coins have really interesting designs that I like.

 

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the first picture. Still cool to have an arrows and rays...

63. The few bag marks didn't bother me and the luster really shines in hand. I think it could go for 64 but I like where it's at.
