    Thanks, that was my second ever ancient coin! I won it NFA auction in 1987. I remember how excited I was when I the invoice in mail...knowing I had won my first coin in an auction. That excitement is alive and well today!

    Remarkably nice coin! I really like that you can see poor old Zeno's eyebags. You can tell his reign wasn't all fun and games.

    At least he lived out his reign peacefully. He had a problem with his General Basiliscus, but in end won out. He could be cruel, he had Basiliscus and his whole Family banished to an island to be starved to death. Not nice!

    Hey, I like the Zeno Ae4 too. Bronze really sucked till Anastasius reformed the coinage.
