So do unc 1976 $2 notes carry much premium and is there much demand for them. What if they have sequential serial numbers.
Twenty years ago I'd have told you no as these were the newest twos around until 1996 but now a days there is some premium for them if they are in pristine, uncirculated condition. I would personally pay a little extra for consecutive notes but it comes down to whether consecutive notes are important to an individual collector or not. Original packs go for a nice amount above face value. Complete district sets of uncirculated 1976 twos can also be highly profitable (if you're willing to put in the time and patience to weed out uncirculated-quality notes from circulation and assemble them into district sets).
UNC $2's carry a slight premium, with IA and JA blocks leading the pack. Supply and demand dictates the prices, and consecutive serials adds very little, if any to the equation.
maybe I'll take some pics and post them in the trade or sell section. I just bought a nice $10 error note and a 1914 $10. I figure that I have upgraded my collection and have been sitting on these things for almost 20 years.
@Tater please PM me when you post your 1914 $10......I happen to be in the market for a mid-grade or better example.
