Spock1k,that is a very nice 1/12 Anna (1 Pie). You very seldom see Indian coins this early in very nice order, especially with lustre. Aidan.
Oh that is a sweet coin, is it as apealing in hand as the pic sugests? can I see some nice toning begining there LOL OK im sort of in love
Doing well thanks, but finding it hard to find decent British Indian at a good price so started a Banknote collection and a German collection along the way LOL :thumb:
Steve,is your banknote collection a British Commonwealth one,or is it a general world collection? Aidan.
Steve, that's a very nice collection you've got there. Those notes from Bohemia & Moravia are very seldom seen. How did you manage to get the 3rd. Series of British Armed Forces banknotes represented, even though those ones are remainders? We see the 2nd. & 4th. Series 1 Pound notes, the 2nd. Series 5 Pounds,& both sub-types of the 6th. Series over here in New Zealand. I see that you've done very well in Scots & Channel Islands banknotes.I have got one of those Bank of Ireland 5 Quid notes from Ulster. My boss got paid with it & thought it was from Ireland, that is until I told him that Ulster banknotes are inscribed only in English & are always denominated in Pounds Sterling. It was a Londoner who now lives in Thailand who paid him with the Ulster 5 Quid note.I was certainly glad to take it off his hands for NZ$15. Aidan.
Very impressive notes collection. I have posted some other indian coins that you should look at. Also got the gold sovereign. Mohur is still far far away
