Nice coin. The reverse is real nice with a couple of dings on the obverse. I'll go MS-63.

That is a pretty coin. I have no idea on grades though :)

May be the pics but luster seems a bit subdued and it looks like it might have light wear. Think I'd have go with 58 based on what I can see.

Yeah, I was thinking 58 as well but it could be the scan.

    Is that a 42/1?

For the first one, I'll say MS64 FB. For the second one, I'd wager EF-40.

The middle band is the key diagnostic on these, @mac266, and it doesn't have it. I think it's over-dipped, too, which explains its rather motionless "luster."

If it's EF40, I'll say it just slid in under the tag.

It's a Philadelphia coin - the doubling would be easily visible even in smaller images like these.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. My eye goes straight to the 2 first on every 42 merc I see and I jumped the shark. Same with the last T of trust on every 1919 now. The eye goes straight to it almost by reflex :)

You need better lighting. The first coin would be a good one to advertise head wings, but why is the wearer afraid to show her face

It would be better if the lighting was uniform and not coming from 3 o'clock. On the first photo of the Obv, the face is incognito.
