I've always admired older Indian States coins for the unconventional (at the time) shapes they used for their coins. Also, Assamese and other local languages like Bengali, Gujrati, etc employ beautiful and artistic scripts

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I don't know anything about Assam (the place) or Assam (the coins) or Assam (the history).

But, I know Assam (the tea) and it is quite delicious.

I also like Indian coins. Esp. the AV stuff from the Sultanates/ Princely States/ Hindu Kingdoms. The Mughal Empire for example minted the largest and the smallest gold coins. The 1000 Mohur weighed 35 pounds!, then the tini weenie 1/4 Fanams come in at a hefty .16 g!
