odd silver jubilee coin

    While in australia I picked up a elizibeth the 2nd silver jubilee coin. the odd thing is the date it is struck 1877 not 1977 anybody out there can confirm or deny it? It looks genuine as in struck at same time as coin I emailed the british mint but they didn't respond.

    There have been Chinese "replicas" with that error offered on EBay in the past few months.

    it makes sense

    the jubilee coin was in a lot of twenty chinese coins so it makes sense that it could be a copy. oh well it makes a good story and it is a neat coin. maybe I will sell it as a genuine counterfeit....
