Are these real? Should I buy them? https://www.ebth.com/items/3166615-pair-of-1934-d-and-1934-s-peace-silver-dollars I really want them? Are they worth it? I NEED to know soon! Thanks!
I would wait for a nicer coin to come along. Use your money for a uncirculated coin and you won't regret it.
i dont think you could go wrong, they were known for weak strikes. They arent my series. If They arent bid on again, you might try for 45$. There's two people already bidding against each other.
I agree that $45 would be a good price though I might go $50 , the D looks nice but no way will the S grade .
1. These are not uncommon coins. You don't have to buy these two. 2. Shipping is close to $10, and must be factored into the price. 3. Bidding doesn't end until tomorrow night. You're in no hurry. 4. You are not old enough to enter into a legally-binding contract, and they could be subject to legal action if they sell to you. Persons under 18 are specifically prohibited from bidding on their site. I sincerely hope that Coin Talk is COPPA compliant, since they are allowing you to post here. The fact they're allowing you to post your age publicly indicates they aren't, which is a violation of 16 CFR Part 312. You could get the site owner into a ton of trouble just by being here. There are specific and stringent rules governing the collection and dissemination of information from children aged 13 and under.
I also recommend looking at pcgs, or ngc ms 62-63 1922 or 1923 peace dollars, I got a ms62 1922 peace dollar pcgs for $35
First time I've seen that site. Buyer's fees? Seller's fees? Shipping costs? I couldn't find specific info (except, add 3% if you want to insure the shipment).
Haven't seen that site before either. Frankly, I don't think buying raw coins from them is exactly a splendid idea.
Me, either. So I checked them out, and found an established business (an "estate sale" online clearinghouse, not a coin specialist) with a good BBB rating which appears to be good folks who have bitten off more than they can chew - the majority of complaints are about poor organization and slow shipping, although they seem willing to make things right when they go wrong. Like any business of the type, caution is advisable. They won't be experts on *anything,* and can be counted on to overlook glaring faults on coins which we'd all never miss. And their images could be far better. A well-informed collector might snag a bargain there, though. They're going on my list. Edit: Dang, this place can't do the "devil" smiley.
I'd say no. For my birthday, i bought a 1900 P Morgan dollar, AU for $35 and i am extremely happy with it. Save up your allowance and go to a local coin shop, it's much better. And think of this, the bidding may sky rocket at the final minutes.
