Anyone view the mints via Google Earth?

    I have compiled a list of world mints, printing companies and Central Banks which I am very satisified with. In fact, I just counted that I have recorded some 247 links which you can view here: http://www.gxseries.com/worldmoneylist.htm

    The next step is actually to find where they are geographically located. It's pretty funny how many people talk about hot coins and yet barely mention about where they were produced from. Some examples can be seen here: http://www.gxseries.com/worldmint/0world_mint.htm Perhaps if you are going overseas or even travelling to the Mint of your home country, I hope it will become to use.

    I have tried to located some of the US mints on Google Earth but appearently my knowledge of American geography is as good as starring at the night sky and blanking out after counting a few stars. Any help will be appericiated, especially some of the older mints such as the Carson mint.

    Just type down the coordinates and I will update the page as soon as I can - thanks in advance! :hail:

    Cheers

    All I had to do was type in Philadelphia mint and there was an arrow pointing right to it. That is on Google maps, not Google Earth.

    they're just big buildings, its not as if you can see the coins being minted

    The man said;
    I told him how I found it. I did not say the was anything exciting about it. Incidentally, "Carson City mint" also worked for that mint.

    Thanks jaytant, I'll look it up tomorrow - sorry, got too blown doing other mints. Do check it out, there are a fair amount of mints this time. And yes, hopefully I did get most of the US mints right.

    It's true that this government has nothing better to do than to watch coin nerds watching coins.
