Here ya go a nice XF specimen of an 1869 Shield with a die crack what 350 +/- degrees? Here's the progression of the crack from the right side up around the cross and down the left side through the leaves to the arrow head then turning back across the shields bottom to the right arrow.
last two images to complete the crack from right to left, this coin is obv. Hub B and rev Hub llc, making it a wide date variety .
Very nice! I love all die cracks, even on 1969's. Thanks for sharing! I have a War Jefferson with a North to South & East to West die crack on the rev. I think they're pretty common though.
No that's due to lack of sleep and over worked tired eyes......add fat fingers. I stand corrected 1869 in the title.
Don't have the old coins, but here's a newer 1994 with a Die crack from the rim near the S to the 9th column. I just found it in a roll.
