Found these and wondered what exactly they were.
    First pic looks like 'LIIIBERTY'
    Second looks like D/S
Last looks like a hook inside the 9?

I'll reply in reverse order of your pictures:
    3) Post mint damage, not unusual.
    2) if anything s/d but I don't see it.
    1) Now this is unusual, what date is it?

On pic #1 does the coin look to bulge around that edge of the coin? I have quite a few that I have kept that look like that due, I believe, to too much pressure on th coin during stamping. I even have some that have bulged so much that you can't see the bottom of the "L"

the date for the first coin is 1987
but how can the 1917 be post damage? it looks like there was extra metal in the '9'

    Pic 1 shows a semi-brockage over a struck coin...very rare....

Most likely what happened was that the date was slightly scraped and with additional wear it now looks like a regular part of the coin.

I don't see it either. as i stated, I have several of these picked out of circulation. I origionally said a few but upon looking I have 20-30 of them. Not very rare at all.

on pic #1 looks like the "I" and the "B" are doubled (doubling going to the left) But the "doubled" part of these letters looks to be incused.

the first pic, when I blew it up...looks like a B shape under the B. The '3' part of the B can be seen inside the top one

3 is post mint damage that occured to the 9

2 is corrosion in the area of the mintmark

1 is common and happens a lot on plated cents. The pressure of the strikke can force areas of plating around the areas of a digit or a letter to move. They often raise up around the digit or letter giving the appearance of doubling.

It is not a doubled die or anything of that sort. if you look at thousands of post 1982 copper plated cents, you will see this often.

    Thanks,
    Bill
