    nice finds! i usually keep anyhting 1965 and older in nickels, and 1982 and before on the cents.

    They minted about 2.8 Billion nickels in 1964 (yes that's a B). That's more than 1965 through 1972 combined. That said, I only set aside AU or better from 1964. Otherwise I have about the same strategy.

    i just keep the 1965 and older nickels so i can get a head start on the dates. since everyone is saving nickels that are older than 1960, pretty soon people will be looking for the ones from the early 60's, and i will have some. oh, i keep the 1964 nickels. i will be making rolls of them when i start to search nickels. put them on ebay!:D
