A nice looking Civil War Cent from the Union. Obverse is Liberty wearing a cap with the date of 1863 located in the 6 o’clock position. Liberty is surrounded by 13 stars for the 13 original colonies. The reverse has ARMY & NAVY in the center with a wreath on both sides. At 6 o’clock, two swords are crossed. A lone star is located at 12 o’clock.
Nice CWT! I only have one in my collection right now, and it had to be a Monitor. Though it is a BN (Brown) designated coin, it has some nice pinkish toning.
Collecting Nut, Nice token. I am just starting to delve into CWTs. This is a monitor that I picked up this past December. CWTs are a a fascinating field. MS-65 BN, R-1, Fuld-240/337a.
Love it! I'm crazy 'bout a Monitor (to heavily paraphrase Country singer Alan Jackson, who was crazy 'bout Mercuries).
Yes, there are very fascinating. And do many choices. I also like my CSA Notes. Such historical information.
This reference can be found easy on ebay...I highly recommend it! If your a civil war buff..or just want to add some valuable information to your reference library. @lordmarcovan
Thanks, it is nice but it’s also fairly common. That’s okay by me. I like the Civil War Tokens. So many were made I could collect them and nothing else and I’d never have them all. Lol
