It's a really nice shop. Lots to look at. Don't try to walk there from the strip. I made that mistake. It looked like a short distance on the map.

Who goes to Las Vegas to spend money in coin shops? That will cut into your working capital. :)

Well...............we're in Vegas! The one thing I have learned, so far, is that "Vegas" is for people that can successfully "bleed" money without losing consciousness.

EVERYTHING has a charge associated with it. Even this freaking Internet access!

    Ugh!

I was thinking that I'd try and find something to do that wouldn't cost money for every breath.

I just use my smartphone as a Hotspot for my laptop at hotels. Fees are averted, speed is the same, and you're not on a "public" network

Can you do this with all smartphones or is that an app?

It's part of all smartphones I think. It turns your phone into a wired "modem" through a USB hookup or wireless with a password like a router. Google your phones model and "how to turn on hotspot"

That ride is chicken feed :p... I've jumped off the stratosphere and have the video to prove it. I was a little dissapointed though as I was expecting the day long adrenaline high of skydiving. For someone that's never skydived before it would be a huge rush though.

The Rio now has a zip line that crosses the roofs of the high tower to the lower tower. Haven't had a chance to ride it yet though.

    Well, we're back.

The only thing we really did was go to Fremont Street which was simply AWESOME!

    Everything else cost money!

Went to Gordon Ramsay's place in the Paris Hotel. I would not recommend it to anybody unless all they wanted were the appetizers.
I ordered the Beef Wellington which was simply terrible. At $57 a serving, I was expecting something way better. Basically, a waste of $211.

I found a cluster of $1 Slot machines which treated me very well for about $300 in pocket money.

The Craps Tables were brutal! Saturday night saw $25 per bet which dropped to $15 per bet on Monday. (There goes half the slot money.)

Vegas on the Strip was well populated with all kinds of different folks. Lots and lots of Barkers more than willing to separate you from your cash. The side walks were a maize in that walking 2 blocks took 3 blocks to accomplish.

The Paris limited our Internet access to only 2 devices which ruled out my logging in on a regular basis. Add a thord device and it costs you by the 1/2 hour.
Finally broke down and went to the business center where I ended up paying, not only the room charge but also their $10 for 15 minutes because the internet cable was busted. That kinda ticked me.

I think we would have starved had the group we were with not given me free access which included several well stocked dinners.

On Tuesday I traveled to three Coin Shops of which two were out of business. The one which wasn't was Sahara Coins where I picked up 4 40% Kennedy Halves for a little over $10 and 2 2016 Silver Eagles. I only purchased the Kennedy's because Jonathon let me browse through his 40% Kennedy's and some CnClad and Silver IKE's.

We had fun but I could see were it could get very expensive very quickly. I have no real desire to go back since the city uses every trick they can come up with to get their hands into your wallet. Of course, this rules out PCGS's Collectors Club Shows, which I had entertained attending but after this trip, it just isn't going to happen.

On the plus side, we drove down using the Eastern Route (for the California Folks) and the drive was quite pleasant. Averaged 33 mpg in my Focus. Found a little cut off that took us through some back country on a road that warned us of a lot of "dips". These "dips" were pure adrenalin filled excitement in that you'd drive down into a little gully and then shoot up a hill where you could not see the road on the other side. It was really freaky! Fortunately, there wasn't anybody else on the road! The closest I could describe it was like being on a roller coaster.

Thanks to the tips on the coin shops.

Sounds about right. At least you had some fun. You're up in northern California right? I wanna say the dips you're talking about are on the 395 just north of the 15
