Good Morning everyone, Metal Detecting from March 18th, 2023 NEW YOUTUBE VIDEO Please watch for your opportunity to receive a Bunny Foo Foo sticker coming soon!!! Today I have some goodies I metal detected in a quick 4 hour hunt. I cut it short because I had to take my wife to a Bridal Shower (Which I crashed ) Winged Liberty Head Dime (Mercury Dime) - 1939 P Barber Dime - 1892 & 1902 Wheat Cents - 14 Each - 1912 & 1914 were the best dates Ford Cap? Age? Everything
Is there a way of removing some of the crud from the back side of the Ford piece without damaging it? Could the metal on the edge next to the F be part of a hinge? Can you add pic with a ruler for scale and a side shot or two?
As soon as I get a chance I will attempt to clean it up. I do believe it's a hinge on the side. I will take measurements also. Thanks!
Another great day for you detecting but how could you stand the Cold? It’s only 35* here today and I’m south of you. Nice finds and most of them are in good shape. Congratulations again!
Nice, as always. Are you keeping track of the silver coins this year? What does adding these three bring the total to? As for the FORD cap, I thought of a radiator cap, but a quick check doesn't show anything like it, nether did gas cap. Hope someone can ID it.
Mr. Ed - have you experimented with longer soaks in distilled water for those bronze/copper cents? Given the number of your finds, I suspect it's not a thing you would do with each-and-every, but maybe those older finds? Just curious.
