1983 doubled die obverse?

    Looks like a hit (PMD) from where I sit.

    Looks like PMD there for sure but beyond that I will yield the floor to the Lincoln experts, of which I am not a member.

    It looks like die deterioration. The valley in the tail of the 9 looks like a flow line, and the top of the 9, and 8 look like a hit. I know it's unlikely that the hit on the 9 would match the curve. There is no hub doubling though. Look at some examples of 1983 doubled die Lincolns on Coppercoins, Wexler, or Variety Vista. You will see how the numerals have seperation lines, and how much thicker/wider than normal they are.

    BTW, doubled eyes are rare and hard to find :D
