Great book, The Coinage of the Crusaders and the World of Islam

The author Emmanuel Azzopardi. This book has great photos/ writeup on the history during the period of the Crusades 1000-1453. You get good maps/ coin illustrations/list of rulers much more. Deal with Gold/Silver/Billon/Copper coinage.

Sounds pretty cool. I collect primarily 20th century world coins. Not too many books on that either

 

A lot of the Ancient Coin people here might be interested, or already about this text. This is one aspect of coins that will always hold my interest: Their place in human history.
