Watched this one for months. Respected seller, came close to buying it now more than once. Went to auction format last week, and I snatched it. Got an amazing price. This was Thomas Worthington's regiment in the Civil War, so this is a great piece of local history for me!
I really want to add a sutler token to my collection but they go for such strong prices and have kept me away.
Love your Sutler, jester. These, and Civil War dog tags, are about as historically interesting as you can get, IMO. I had about a dozen of these at one time but had to sell my collection some time ago. I do have a dog tag from a NH soldier which is one of my favorite pieces. Your post brought back some fond memories. Thanks. Bruce
I have one of the North American Fishing Club metals some wheres around my numismatic mess. I got one in mail a few years ago with a few fishing gadgets. Mine is a slight bit different than the one posted here.
That one came off Amazon, and out of a library. Here's a couple of sites you can look. So I snapped some pictures tonight and have been doing my research but I'm too tired tonight to make any write ups that these tokens deserve. I know the forum is dying for some Air Force trade tokens so here they are: GB90a GB90c JP330g JP330h FL360b LA80b LA80c
This is got to be the strangest token/gaming chip I have ever seen or picked up almost 2" dia. steel same both sides, no expense was spared in either the design or execution of them
Picked up these transit tokens today for $0.25 a piece. Not really my scope of collecting but I thought they were kinda cool.
Those are cool @furryfrog02 very collectable and affordable. I believe there are collector clubs for them.
