Now that's a Gordian III I would LOVE to add to mine.....funny how gold makes this G III exceptionally interesting and not at all commonly boring LOL

BTW: We have a 'Secret Santa' gig during X-mas season and exchange coins (HINT)----Well, I can dream can't I??:)

Imagine if you were Donald Trump, you could an FDC Aureus of every Emperor/Empress/Usurper known....I would rather do that then run for President!!!!

there were a few with no known survived coins, or unique and cannot be verified, and that's in any metal. Doubt even donald trump could do anything about that.

That is true, I saw one in auction Numismatic Fine Arts. It was a FDC Aureus of Saturninius, a short lived usurper time of Probus I think. Unique, unknown to history. But there are 5200 different Aureii listed in Calico...Trump still would not have enough to have them all. That Saturninus probably would go for 10 Million+
alone. You would need all the assets of Bill Gates/ Warren Buffet/ few other zillionaires!

    That's a comforting thought.

Gold is amazing, even coins from shipwrecks, where the coins were in salt water for hundreds of years....the coins look like freshly struck. I uploaded (non-ancient) SORRY, to show this. This Chile 1751-So (Santiago Mint) Fernando VI of Spain 8 Escudos was from the wreck of the "Atocha" john photos 1 004 (Medium).jpg john photos 1 003 (Medium).jpg

Yeah, your salary for being president is 400,000 dollars per year, you don't need that if you're worth billions, everyone's going to blame you for America's problems, and you're gonna lose a decade of your lifespan from constant stress of being president. Just look how badly Obama aged!

I agree! I would rather take 2 billion of his assets and probably be able to get a really top quality example from most of the 6000 known varieties of aureii. Then go after your next fav. coin types. Do what King Farouk did, but it would be with YOUR $, Farouk of course spent Egyptian treasury, much like the Gulf States Princes today.
