Hi all. I had to get a new safe today. I couldnt keep storing my coins with my guns. Its 3.2c.f.. Thanks for looking.
Nice to have all that space. I'd suggest putting the proof set boxes into ziplock bags to minimize scratching and scuffing (if you care how the boxes look). It doesn't add anything to the space they take up.
Nice one. Its fuller than mine! Its definately a good idea to have seperate safes for coins and guns.
i have to keep my coins with my guns also, so when i get a gun out to show someone, usually we end up talking about coins too. lol. i would love to have one for each. lucky.
hahahah, ya im big on guns and the 2nd amendment. nobody gets between me and my firearms. =) p.s. or my coins.
i can hear it now... "here's my BU Morgan dollar collection and here's my Winchester 1893, which makes holes the size of Morgan dollars." -Steve
Now that you showed off the contents of the safe, please tell me that you properly secured it so that someone cannot come in, pickup the safe, and drill it open in the liesure of their garage? Believe it or not, many people get a nice safe, but then don't properly bolt it down or secured it as recommended by the manufacturer.
I've verry Pro-Gun too... I thought most here were not... I'm working on getting a new, bigger, better Save for my Guns and Coins... I'll prolly put my Firearms and Coins in the one bigger Safe and put Ammo, Magazines and such in the 2nd smaller one...
My coins and guns are in the same safe also. Until I have too many coins or too many guns they'll have to remain together.
I asked the question, in a previous thread, about storing my guns and coins in the same safe. I was told that it's NOT a good idea to store the coins and guns together. Something about the cleaning agents used to clean the guns might, or should I say DO effect the coin surfaces. I was told to get a separate safe for my coins and a safe for my guns. By the way....I'm a Life Member of the N.R.A. and I own SEVERAL guns! Could you please tell what kind of safe that is? And some details? Thanks. swick
I don't keep my rather valuable coin collection in a safe, for the reason that just no-one would beable to take it. They would be more interested in the laptops than the small little wooden cabinet on my desk!
