Have to make a correction on the last post, it has been brought to my attention that the above two items. "These are commemorative half dollars, coins, legal tender, produced by the U.S. Mint. These coins are listed in the Red Book and other coin price guides." "Not only that but the Columbian you have is the very first date coin in the Classic Silver Commemorative series and the Washington-Carver is one of the very last of the 50 types produced." Not being a coin collector I had no idea that they were anything other than tokens let alone silver legal tender commemorative's. learn something new almost every day on these forums.

Another tax token I picked up today, I love the history behind tax tokens and why they were used. I just wish they would do something about us being over taxed in this time lol. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sales_tax_token colorado.jpg

Frankly Bruce I don't understand most of the commercials today. A lot of them are just plain stupid in content and story line! I will admit to being Radio & Tv production and performance, back when TV's were wood burning! (70's for you youngun's) my professors would have bounced me out of the studio and classes in a eye-blink. But I'm the wrong demographic, and rarely do I buy any product from any advertisement print or any media. Come to think of it don't buy much of anything other than ammo components, food, tokens or kitty food:cat:

There's not much tobuy any longer since everything they make is garbage before it leaves the store and I can't remember the last time there was a token in my laundry detergent. ;)
