With many of these there is talk of the bad guys using a tracker. I don't see how they would know what car to put the tracker on. I guess they could watch the dealer loading at the end of the day but they would have to get close to the car.
A few weeks ago, a friend of my wife left her home and went to her car. She cranked her car on, then realized she left her purse in the house. When she came outside, she found her car was gone. If her purse had been in the car, the thiefs might have just taken her purse. She made a police report with no success. Her insurance paid for a comparable car, which she is thankful for. I remember many times when it was real cold, I would start the car and go back into the house until the car was warm. As for coins, I'm 75 and don't travel much, but if I do, my wife travels with me. I've got 4 dogs in a fenced in yard and my office is also in the fenced in yard. My father told me that if someone wants to rob you they will find a way, must make sure you are fully insured.
Once there is violence in a robbery it ups the ante considerably and makes it a lot more likely the thieves will be caught. The last thing most of them want is to do hard time for an aggravated felony. Unless they are high on hard drugs at the time.
